Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. Rachel said that after Toto r was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.
Rachel explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Wow! My Dog, a mobile pet salon.
Rachel took Toto immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. He has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
Rachel described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas is a Wow! My Dog customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
Bad Review
Wow! My Dog also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. Rachel said, "Juliann told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, animal abuse complaint acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.
Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
